...I got the Zen back in December for as a Christmas present as it had been what I requested and it was cheaper than the Ipod at only £299.99. Having never owned a MP3 jukebox before I was not expecting anything spectacular, just something to store the huge amount of MP3's piling up on my PC.. Was a nice surprise once I had charged it up (3 hrs) that I had back-up half my MP3's in less than 30 mins and that was only using the USB 1.1. The Zen holds 20gigs of memory but a 40 gig drive is now available for those with larget collections and files. Sound quality comes courtesy of Creatives EAX system and I must say made me listen to my collection without worrying about Bass and Treble too much, Battery life is great at 14 hours playback (4 hours more than the Ipod) charging is about once a week for me. ...I have had this device for 3 months and love it to bits. No more will you have to carry around a bulky bag of CDs - this little beauty has the space for around 250! The player looks like a bulkier version of a walkman, which hinders its portability somewhat. But this is a small price to pay - imagine the bulkiness of 250 CDs. Transferral of music files and other files from computer to jukebox couldn't be easier. The package includes two programs for this use which are easy and intuitive to use. There is also the option of using either firewire or usb as your transferral option. One big plus that many overlook is the fact that the jukebox can act as a portable hard drive, with the ability to store any sort of file on its disk.
