A very good online FPS (First Person Shooter) experience. The Counter-Strike series was a lot of fun for me and many of my friends. The game felt a bit old, but it still was a lot of fun.
The sound was pretty realistic, the graphics weren't up to date but let's not forget that the Counter Strike series is about 7 - 8 years old.
You play the role of either a Counter Terrorist, or a Terrorist and you must either rescue hostages/guard hostages, disarm bombs/plant bombs.
Counter-Strike still has many players on it and there are many maps that you are able to download and even possibly make on your own computer and play.
If you don't have the internet you'll still be able to play with the BOTS. The BOTS are computer players that will behave (or at least attempt to) like humans. They will use radio chat and obey your orders when you tell them to. You can even set the difficulty if you feel that the BOTS are getting too predictable and easy to play with.
Overall, Counter-Strike and was probably the first FPS game with such a big online community.
Now that the game is so cheap, it's definitely worth the money.
