Advantages: pretty much all of it, great vocals and guitar Disadvantages: not much, can sound a bit similar to other bands at times
This is an excellent band if you are into heavy metal. They are not screamo or metalcore, so the lyrics are understandable from the singing. The band has an excellent vocalist and a very good guitarist. One of the more important features when looking at a heavy metal group is the guitar style. Their style is overall heavy, with catchy riffs and some cool solos breaking through in almost all their songs. They seem to go for a sound similar to some ... ...like Ozzy, Metallica, Black Label Society, Megadeth, Dream Theater, etc. although they do have a similar musical style to many of the other artists of around that same time, they manage to stay original by bringing their own unique touch to the genre. If you might be interested, try finding a few of their songs/videos on the net, Albatross and Vote With a Bullet are great songs for giving you an idea of what the band sounds like overall. If you're ...

Advantages The Band, The Music, The Sound, The Atmosphere, The People, The Venue, This Majestic Groove! Disadvantages Have you ever tried taking photos from within a frantic mob of ecstatic music lovers?
...spelling out G-O-D.
Sitting behind drums booming with thunder, Jimmy Bower drove himself into a sweat. He was obviously in a good mood, and gave us his all throughout the whole gig, providing a smouldering drive until the end, when he looked - and understandibly so! - quite tired...
Front shouter Phil Anselmo (PANTERA, SUPERJOINT RITUAL and more) was all the while singing and roaring with great energy; he truly delivered a sweeping performance, all hail Anselmo! Or, as Kyria mentioned to me: He hasn't looked so good in years.
What about Pepper? Well, el guitarrero del CORROSION OF CONFORMITY was grinning like so many Cheshire cats, and seemed to have merged with his guitar or vice versa. A mountain of a man with a scrumpy lumberjack's beard and mischievious sparks in his boyish eyes. Imagine young Hagrid as a Whiskey drinking body...

Advantages fantastic array of metal heroes, slick musicianship, Dave Grohl :) Disadvantages not for everybody
...my word was good enough, but I have no such delusions. Let’s take a walk through this little beauty shall we?!
~*~ The Realm Divine ~*~
“And now the souls they swing / Swirl in cosmic ring / Creations spark it has no time / Rejoin the realm divine”
(The Emerald Law)
Grohl set himself some parameters, namely that all contributing singers had to be his own metal idols from the 1970s and 80s. What he got was a plethora of big underground names from metal and punk that makes the mouth water… Including “the Diabolical, the Dark and Damnable, the Undestroyable”:
(1) GOD that is Lemmy (Motorhead, Hawkwind)
(2) Lee Dorian (Napalm Death, Cathedral)
(3) Max Cavalera (Soulfly, Sepultura)
(4) Mike Dean (Corrosion of Conformity)
(5) Cronos (Venom)
(6) Tom G. Warrior (Celtic Frost, Apollyon Sun)
(7) Snake (Voivod)
(8) Eric Wagner...
