I bought this laptop from ebay when my beautiful but totally dumb HP Pavillon zd80000 completely died with no reason. I have bought it second-hand and although it only lasted one year since my purchase (consider this is a rather old computer AND it was already second hand) I must say I am very happy with it. Sure it is not fast and does not have many features, but still for what i needed it was very good.
I must confess that I accidentally dropped ... ...not sure) and all times not a single scratch appeared, nor did it break because of that. Maybe it shut down in the fall but when restarting it, it would just be as fine.
It broke because of a blacklight problem, so basically the computer is still working, and only the screen has problems. So it is indeed a very good and relieable computer, one for clutz like me and for those who do not have very high technological needs. It is cheap and yet strong ...

...The compaqEvoN610c is now an aging machine but still manages to handle the everyday tasks of a home-user or light business user. Compaq have developed a solid base system in this laptop which has multiple configuration options so that it can adapt to the needs of most users.
Intel\'s P4 Mobile processors are utilised throughout this series and produces a longer battery life by only running at the speed needed to run the active programs.
Options include: Bluetooth module, CD Rom, DVD Rom, CD/DVD Rom, Expandable RAM upto 1Gb (PC2700) and docking station.
On top of the configurable base system there are many external sockets to enable further peripherals and upgrades to be added. (2x USB Sockets, 2x PCMCIA Slots, VGA Out, Parallel Socket, Com Port, TV out socket, Ps/2 Socket, Headphones and Mic Socket).
