Advantages: Nice looking, nice picture while working properly
Disadvantages: picture failure after 1 year, poor quality speakers sound too low

I have owned this Phillips tv for 14 months. The tv has/had a great picuture. Sound quality is very low at the highest sound setting. About a month ago (after the warrenty ran out) the picture started freezing on the screen. It resembles when a movie freezes and burns with the little colored squares all over. It would happen occasionaly, but now it happens every 10 minutes or so. The tv is still working, but I'm assuming the picture will not last ...
...already is showing signs of failure. I have always purchased Phillips products, and never experienced any major problems. It's a nice looking tv, the casing makes it look like it is stainless steel. I like the flat screen design. There are a lot of settings in the menu to adjust sound, picture size, automatic timer...etc. The sound settings don't seem to make a difference, all settings still come in low unless you're sitting directly in front of ... My step daughters has this type of tv and they love it. It is not heavy at all and easy to move around. It is really simple to use and it of course has the built in vcr. The remote is pretty simple as well. The graphics of shows that play on the tv are so clear. The sound is nice and loud. It doesn't take much to install theis tv. We bought this t.v. at Sam's Club a couple of years ago for $299. At the time the most comparable televisions cost about $400-$450. We were a little unsure of the manufacturers reputation but we took the gamble anyways. This turned out to be a very good decision. This is a very nice tv to buy for the kids. It has a nice vcr that plays really clear pictures and the sound goes up really loud. This type of tv has been put on the wall at my doctors office. it plays really clear. The picture is not fuzzy at all. The sound is nice and loud as well. It has a very simple look and keeps your attention when waiting on the nurse to call you back. It is easy to hook up on the wall. I think this is a really good tv to have.
