The Chicago Bears are a professional football team of the National Football league. They play in the NFC West Division alongside the Green Bay Packers, the Minnesota Vikings and the Detroit Lions.Their home field is in Soldier field. This is a very storied franchise and the current discussion here is going to be about their super bowl team of the 1985/86 season. That is the standard of measurement of great football teams, winning the big one,the nfl championship. ...
...and the San Francisco Forty Niners were the favorites to come out of the NFC.From the AFC the favorites were the Miami Dolphins and the Los Angeles Raiders. Advantages: NO Comment
Disadvantages: No Comment

The vicious hit that quarterback Kyle Orton took Nov. 2 against the Lions didn't just sideline him with a sprained right ankle. It also knocked the Bears passing game completely out of kilter. Recent opponents have treated athletic tight end Greg Olsen like a wide receiver, covering him at times with a cornerback instead of a linebacker or safety. Two weeks ago, Olsen led the Bears in receiving yards with 391 on 33 receptions. But he was blanked ...
...yards against the Vikings. The wide receivers haven't been much more productive. Davis has just one catch in each of the last four games and Brandon Lloyd has four catches for 44 yards in three games after missing five contests with a knee injury. The past three weeks, Bears receivers have faced defenses that play a lot of press coverage. "When you go through a 16-game season, you're going to have highs and lows," Orton said. "You're going to ... Read review

Advantages Lots to see and do. Friendly people. It's big. I got lots of cool stuff, cheap.
Disadvantages American beer is minging.

...to the exchange rate. I was lucky as I was getting around $1.85 to the pound (although at the time of writing, this is edging closer towards the $2 mark - http://www.xe.com/). Consumer electronics (mobile audio, digital cameras etc.) can be much cheaper than the UK even with an average exchange rate. Clothes, however, can be a chore to find regarding sizes. While I am not the world’s thinnest man by any stretch of the imagination, I found that most American clothing sizes started at the wrong side of large for me. As my traveling companions were all male, I have no idea if this also applies to women’s clothes and sizes. There is a lot to do when sightseeing in Chicago. The city is sports mad and boasts quite a few top-flight teams in various sports. For American Football fans, the Chicago Bears play at Soldier Field to the south. Chicago has two... Read review

Advantages A great city, with every amenity
Disadvantages Bloody cold in December, and I lost my hat!

...will be familiar, at least in name, to anyone who has read any of Sarah Paretsky’s V.I. Warshawski novels. It could also be for the elevated railway; or ‘El’ as its familiarly known…but that would be cheating, and I never cheat! Anyway, the Loop is the area inside the loop of the aforementioned ‘El’, and is more or less the area bounded by the Chicago River, Lake Michigan and various bits of the elegantly nomclematured Wacker Avenue. It’s almost entirely made up of BIG BUILDINGS (see ‘A’ above) and some fine shops, including Marshall Fields, which shouldn’t be mixed up with Soldier Fields, where the Chicago Bears play football. No-one plays football in Marshall Fields…it’s a department store fer gawds sake! M is for Michigan Avenue, The first street in from the lake – Lake Michigan, that is, and home of many fine stores, the Illinois Institute of Art... Read review

Advantages Some great OTT entertainment
Disadvantages Not so easy to see these days

...the issue of who was that seasons greatest side. That play off game, modestly called the World Championship, is still played but better known today as The Super Bowl. Even in the USA many people who never watch the game week-in and week-out will watch the Super Bowl, it's a very special occasion for the whole country. For the most part, one team has tended to dominate for a long period, even though a side like San Francisco 49ers would not win the title every year, they would be always close to winning it. Thus in the 1960's Green Bay Packers were the team to beat, in the 1970's it was the Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers alternately winning the Superbowl, whilst in the 1980's and the first half of the 1990's it was the turn of Washington Redskins, San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears dominant. It has... Read review
