Cheaper By the Dozen 2 (DVD)

of: 11-year-old Alyson Stoner, who plays Sarah, one of twelve children of Tom and Kate Baker (Steve Martin,Bowfinger, and Bonnie Hunt,Return to Me). The movie follows the popular clan of the previous remake ofCheaper by the Dozenas they go to a camp in the mountains, where Tom renews his rivalry with Jimmy Murtaugh (Eugene Levy,Bringing Down the House). To the movie's credit, it doesn't quite degenerate into aNational Lampoon's Vacationknock-off, though it comes perilously close. But thanks to the grace of Bonnie Hunt and general good spirits of the cast of kids (including Tom Welling,Smallville; Hilary Duff,The Perfect Man, who in some scenes becomes uncomfortably Lolita-esque; and Piper Perabo,Coyote Ugly, among others), this unnecessary sequel manages to remain enjoyable to anyone with a taste for broad family movies. But Stoner--as a tomboy getting her first crush--brings considerable charisma to her generically-written part, and her scenes give the movie a much-needed emotional lift. Otherwise, it's a movie in which Carmen Electra plays the voice of reason (in a series of tight-fitting tops).--Bret Fetzer

Not Too cheap
Review of Cheaper by the Dozen by
FickleMinded
Advantages: great fun-filled movie
Disadvantages: none
Cheaper By The Dozen:
I love Steve Martin. He's one of the most respected comedians in Hollywood. And no wonder I love this movie too. It's about the family of 12 children. What I love about it is because I can relate with his wife, Kate (played by Bonnie Hunt). Not because I have 12 kids, I only have two boys actually, but I also gave up my career for my family. This movie shows us what the most important thing in life is. That a big family is ... ...a big family is always fun to have. Trust me, I know, because I was from a family with seven children. Career or friend may fail you one way or the other, but family, they are always there to support you in everything. A very great movie for everyone. ...

Cheaper by the Dozen
Review of Cheaper by the Dozen by
kunizzul
Advantages: funny and comedy
Disadvantages: typical comedy
Cheaper by the Dozen… I think this movie is really interesting to watch as I like to watch story about having many siblings. This movie is about Tom Baker (Steve Martin) and her wife Kate Baker (Bonnie Hunt). They have many children, 7 boys and 5 girls. Each of them has different personality and has their own problems. At first, their life is just normal but after Tom Baker got an opportunity to be a coach for Stallion team…they had to move from ... ...they need to move or not is also funny. The Cheaper by the Dozen is a comedy genre movie. I think the strong point of this movie is on his dialog that is very funny. So, watch this movie if you want to have fun and laugh with your family. ...

Advantages: Good Family Movie
Disadvantages: None
Film by: Shawn Levy (2003)
Starring
Steve Martin as Tom Baker
Bonnie Hunt as Kate Baker
Piper Perabo as Nora Baker
Tom Welling as Charlie Baker
Hilary Duff as Lorraine Baker
The Plot
Tom Baker takes a job as a football coach and moves to Illinois with his family. Upon arriving in their new home they are greeted by their neighbors who are surprised that the Baker's are a big family. Tom's wife Kate has to leave town because of her new novel ... ...about leaving but Tom assures him that he can handle all of their 12 kids by himself. So Kate goes to work but not long before that things in the Baker house start going crazy with Tom and the 12 kids.
What I think of the movie
The movie is a good family oriented movie. It was fun how it was shown how Steve Martin handled the kids on his own, and the crazy things the kids did was hilarious. Of course the credit will go to Steve Martin because he ...

Advantages Funny, Suitable For Children, Worth Watching
Disadvantages Not as good as CBTD 1
...Ok so where do i start at the begining ofcourse.....
Cheaper By The Dozen 1:
Staring the classic and funny guy Steve Martin joined by a whole host of kids of all ages. So about the film well as you can imagine 12 kids no thats alot of kids and buy do they have fun and play many practical jokes.
The family all live in a small town where Tom Baker (Steve Martin) coaches a small town american football team and his wife Kate (Bonnie Hunt) is a homemaker as you can imagine with 12 kids how would you cope.
As you can imagine its a total mad house but then one of Tom old school friends approaches him and offers him a position as head coach but it would mean uprooting the family moving... What are they to do....... call a family conference but the kids are not so happy about the move and Tom and Kate explain to the kids that it would...

Advantages Great to watch!
Disadvantages Nothing at all
...This film is about a family that have got 12 children, however one of them has moved out. The mom is an authour and the dad Tom Baker is a referee. He gets offered a high paid job which is far away. The children are hilarious and are great fun to watch. They bring a lot of fun and comedy towards the film. He takes the job and then things start to go wrong. The mom has a tour of her new book which means Tom has to look after all of them. Then trouble and mayhem erupt. The whole thing falls to pieces. I would defientley reccomend this film for a whole family to watch and is fun to watch over and over again. A great film!! Go out and buy it!!...
