Islamic practice of Purdah, which forbids women to show their face to men outside their immediate family. A Nawab (Rehman) catches a brief glimpse of Jamila's (Waheeda Rehman) face and falls in love with her. He however does not know who she is so when at his sister's party, he gets hold of a torn fragment from Jamila's veil he gives it to a maidservant so that she can trace who the girl is. However Jamila had exchanged her veil with that of her friend Bano so the Nawab ends up getting the name and address of the wrong woman. This mistake becomes a tragic irony. For Jamila turns out to be the girl Rehman's mother had chosen for him and whom he had persuaded his friend Aslam to get married to. When Aslam realises that his friend is in love with his wife Jamila, he pretends to tire of her, hoping that she will demand a divorce and so will be free to marry Rehman. When Rehman learns of his Dutt's sacrifice he chooses to die for his friend and commits suicide. This product is manufactured on demand using DVD-R recordable media. Review
I hae always been a fan of gurudatt ji and his films have always been a master piece to me. Vahida rehman also complements her very well. we are talking here ... ...the history. So acting is out of doubt wonderful and amzing. The direction was very apt and amazing. the delicacey of the role of jameela is been displayed very well. the ong ' Chaudhvi ka chand ho' is the most romantic song of Indian cinema. It's an amzing piece of art and acting. i recommend it to all the movie fans.
