I own three cats . We have had our Tico our adult cat for two years now and a couple of months ago we took in two more kittens when a friend of mine was going to have to put them out to the barn because nobody wanted them . They were so cute and I couldn't bear the thought of them living in a barn so I took them home with me , We named them Shyra and Montanna . Before we took in the two kittens my house was overrun with mice . Tico was quite good at catching them all the time but for some reason the mice just wouldn't stop coming indoor . My husband assumed this was because he cut a patch of wood around our house and they must have been living out there and when he cut the trees down they decided to move indoors . Every day I was having to throw away something the mice had got into before my cat was able to catch them and it was getting to the point that I said they were going to have to start paying rent as they were eating us out of house and home :) Well I brought home the two little kittens and we have not seen another mouse in the house again . Figure they must have have been able to smell enough to realize that they were not going to survive long in a house with three cats :) A cat makes a wondeful pet not only because it will cut down on the amount of mice in your home ( leaving you food to eat :) but they will also keep you company . A cat loves to curl up beside you when you are sitting down watching t.v and if you have a cat like mine , it will even tell you when it is time for bed . Tico waits til about midnight and if everyone is not in bed she startes to meow and run around your feet tryng to get you to go upstairs to tell you that you should be in bed :) The two kittens are just the sweetest little things as they are so cute to watch play together . So they will amuse you when you are bored as well as snuggle with you if you are upset about something . A cat is so easy to keep as they are such a clean animal , they do not require you to walk them and as long as you have food , water and a clean kitty litter out for them they are happy . There are so many cats looking for a good home these days and anyone how is lucky enough to have one for a pet will never regret taking in a lovable animal such as a cat .
