My brother chose this phone a year ago. The G'Zone is an awesome phone, that withstands more then any other cell phone I've seen. Its a little bulkier then some of the others on the market, but being waterproof and shock proof makes it special.
The number pad on the G'Zone is very easy to use, especially for men with larger fingers. The numbers are elevated enough to avoide pushing 2 numbers at once.
The G'z has a large display with large print for those of us that need it. You can also change the size of the font. The colors are very bright and sharp, the display never looks blurred no matter what you're looking at (wallpaper, pictures, video).
The phone has bluetooth capabilities, which makes it nice while driving and being able to use it hands free. It also is a speaker phone. The volume is more then loud enough to hear the other party.
One of the best features on the G'z is the camera. It is a VGA camera and the pictures that it takes are comparible to what you would get with a stand alone digital camera. The built in flash makes it possible to take pictures at night or in the dark. You don't find many cell phones with a VGA camera in them, although more are starting to appear. You can also use this cell phone as a camcorder and take live videos.
The G'z has all the bells and whistles of a good cell phone. If you're in the market for a phone that takes basics to the highest level then this is the phone for you. It is not a music player, but it does have text and video messaging. You can store up to 500 phone numbers in the memory. It is VG navigator compatible and you can surf the web if you desire to pay the extra money to Verizon.
The front panel is very basic, the lcd is monochrome (no color) and displays the time and date. Although it doesn't look like all the other fancy cell phones out there, the G'z is a very dependable phone. The battery life is excellent only charging about every 3 days with a lot of use. It's a rugged phone, and lives up to its name.
My brother absolutely loves this phone, and I'm waiting to purchase one for myself as soon as they are in stock again. It looks like this is a hot selling phone at Verizon, I've never seen a phone out of stock before in their stores or on their website. The older model G'zOne V had an exterior antenna. The new S model has the antenna built in.
I would recommend this phone to anyone that is hard on their cell phone, or to anyone that has a hard time dialing the phones with the flat number panels. I can't wait to get mine!!
