Casio Cassiopeia Fiva

The Cassiopeia Fiva is an ultra-portable, Windows 98-based, mobile computer. It delivers full-featured Windows functionality in a true mobile product. The Cassiopeia Fiva's case is made of a thin, lightweight magnesium alloy. Its compact, ergonomic design delivers ultimate portability with a keypad that is fully functional and easy to use. A low-power 200MHz National Semiconductor Geode CPU combines, on two chips, the processor, memory controller, graphics functions, PCI bus interface, and other functions required by the PC. This greatly reduces the overall component count and provides high performance with low power consumption. Casion's original Hyper Amorphous Silicon TFT (HAST) LCD provides 800x600 dots of high resolution in a 6.7" diagonal display. The HAST LCD has been made possible through a number of advances in high aperture ratio thin-film transistors, multi-pin thin chip technology, and super-fine chip-on-glass bonding technology. The result is an LCD that provides outstanding resolution and clarity in a thin configuration. The new ergonomically designed keyboard enables the best continuous touch typing performance in the ultra portable computer class. The 1.5 cm key pitch of the Cassiopeia Fiva keyboard provides a responsive key stroke and comfortable key touch.
