Advantages: pricetag, features, ease-of-use Disadvantages: none that I am aware of
The Pioneer AVH P4000DVD is one serious bit of in car entertainment equipment, a large LCD touchscreen literally puts everything right at your fingertips and everything is pretty straightforward with this unit and it is well priced and very feature rich. It has an inbuilt 50 W amplifier on four channels, but the serious audio file will want to use an external amplifier. It has iPod support and a USB input, in particular, I find USB inputs, to be ... ...all popular this types and is also Div X. With the attractive pricetag. It's very difficult to fault this unit. It is robust easy-to-use and jampacked. I advise getting it professionally installed as I initially was going to attempt it myself. But unless you are an electronics whiz, this is inadvisable. ...

Advantages: sound, picture, easy to install Disadvantages: none
I have a friend that purchased one of these to put inside his van for his kids to watch when they go on vacations or just up the road. The quality of the product is really goo. The volume can go up really loud also. The kids just enjoy it and so does he. Instead of them fussing they are enjoying a nice movie together. It really comes in great use to have on hand. It was pretty easy to install and the picture is really clear. The design does not look ...

Advantages: Overall experience, good Disadvantages: pull down screen is fragile?
I have one of these and I love it.
It plays perfect, especially when you are on a rough road. There has been a few times it has paused and stopped playing, but it has continued as soon as it could, due to rough road.
This will make those trips on vacation relaxing and enjoyable, for you as a parent and the children as the passengers.
The only thing I am not keen on is the pull down screen. I will not let my children pull it down or put it up.
... ...the springs or the attachments to the base. I have hit it with my head and it has not damaged it. But when you pull it down it has a slight rotation to it for side viewers and it could get hit when in that position and I think, BREAK. I love the sound and quality of the screen. The base has lights on it .
There is a option, lights on when doors are opened, (thats doors to your vehicle) or lights out. I have used the dome light to find the remote ...
