Yes, iCarPlay is really better when played with an ipod and moreover it could get the FM and also the sound would be much better and also I hope the clarity of sound too would be clear may the range and the FM stations if near by could even increase in clarity. This device is extremely temperamental at times - at least in a 2005 Ford Taurus SE. It does not tell the stereo that an iPod is connected, consistently and will sometimes lose the connection while it is playing. The unit also does not charge the iPod like it claims it does.
