I got this camera a little more than year ago and it has made a significant contribution to my life ever since. I'm not a hardcore Ansel Adams type but I love to capture my memories! This camera has a wide range of functions: kids mode (captures bratty children that are constantly moving) to night mode (flash galore), long long video length, crystal clear, non-blurring photos, quickly turns on and off, very user friendly, long battery life, and a cool exterior. Alright, obviously I don't know my digcam lingo or I would have said something like "shuttering" or "mega-pixels" but doesn't that tell you something? It is incredibly user-friendly for those non-tech (hot) chicks that don't even read the manual. I can easily navigate through the functions/control buttons and still get what I want.
This product really impressed me on New Years Eve. I was in San Francisco for the fireworks. My battery was on low so I keep turning the camera on and off but it was quick to respond. In addition, it was raining and my photos still came out clear and my video sound was === Small heading === amazing. I can hear my friend giggling in my background even as the rain and fireworks dominated the scene. I had such a wonderful time on New Years' eve and I'm so happy this camera was able to capture the moment. Ahh.... no more Kodak moment. They are all now Canon moments.
I also get tons of complements on how large the screen is and how cool it looks. Girls like appearances.
