Advantages Great software and is simple to use but still gets good quality pictures Disadvantages Few mega-pixels and a small screen
... I have had this camera now for two years and so far it hasn't let me down once. Although in comparison to the newer cameras out on the market it is fairly large and heavy, with a smaller screen and less mega-pixels, I've found it to be really good to use. For me the size is just right as anything too small, I lose! The picture quality is is really good and you can take videos with clear sound. It comes in lots of different colours, which is always a plus and is quite sleek looking. The ZoomBrowser software I use with it, is really good. It's simple and easy to understand, and lays out your photo in a way which means they are easy to organise. I have found that it gets through batteries seriously fast, but that is probably just because I still haven't bought any decent camera batteries yet. Overall I think it's a great camera for the...

Advantages Price - quality - ease of use Disadvantages Lack of an optical zoom
...As a long time fan of Canon digital cameras I was keen to get my hands on the Powershot A400. Having used the A310 for sometime, the A400 was an attractively priced upgrade and I'm pleased to report that with a little coercion Santa delivered the goods. Slightly larger than some entry level cameras this camera contains all the connectivity you may sensibly expect in a small camera, the facility to produce short movies and even a range of editing features direct on the camera so if you're away from your PC you can still produce some after effects on your image...

...I was recently given this camera as an 18th birthday present .It was bought for £150 with some accessories, an extra 64mb memory card, a case, and a tripod. It can now be purchased for around £110 i believe.
After years of using a standard camera I was worried that it would be a challenge to get used to a digital. I couldn't have been more wrong though, as within a few minutes I could do everything I wanted to without reading the manual.
The interface is simple enough, with a directional pad for navigating menus and browsing through your photos. To change between the 4 modes (viewing,
There are 8 modes for taking specific types of photo: Portrait, Night Scene, Foliage, Snow, Beach, Fireworks, Underwater (requires a waterproof case), and Indoor
