The K2 is a durable film camera for amateurs and professionals. With a variety of features, the photographer can elect to shoot manually or have the camera's computer choose optimal settings to compose the photograph. It is very easy to take awesome and gorgeous pictures with the K2. I have few complaints after using the camera in harsh conditions in the Brazilian Pantanal and taking some of the most beautiful pictures I have ever taken. The K2 was my best friend and close companion as I explored the wetland-rainforest area in Brazil known as the Pantanal. I did have a few problems when dust, high temperature, and extreme humidity combined their forces against me and my will to shoot nature: I was walking down a road and spotted something in the distance. I looked through binoculars and realized what it was. A jaguar. A BIG jaguar. She sat in all her glory quietly in the middle of the road far ahead wagging her tail lazily in the afternoon sun. In my excitement, I hurriedly snapped two pictures with my K2. Then, all of the sudden, my shutter stuck. It was the worst possible time. I struggled for a few minutes to try to get the camera working again, but could not. The big cat had disappeared in the meantime. A few hours later, the camera started working again, after it had cooled down... I attributed the awful mechanical failure to the harsh conditions, excused my good friend and continued using the camera. It was just my luck that the shutter would get stuck right then. I never had any problems again, and continued to produce excellent photos with the K2.
