This camera is probably one of the most interesting and popular D-SLR cams on the market.
Although it came up already some time ago. I would like to share my opinion and experiences about it with you.

The camera has a 10.1 Megapixel sensor, which is state of the art for this price range.
The body is made of aluminium, it still has some parts made of plastic, but that's almost unavoidable. In comparison with the EOS 350 D, it's usage is almost the same, but it is looks a bit more stylish than the older version. Changes are slight, only some button colors have changed and a bit in the form.
What has changed significantly is the size of the display. It's now much bigger, but now, the little LCD Line with the icons for flash, focus etc. has been removed. Sometimes I miss it, although the information is displayed on the main TFT display. But I prefer the "old school" style of gadgets.

The image quality is - and I can compare that to many other DSLR cameras - fantastic!
As a professional reporter and correspondent, this camera has the best image quality ever. I use a lot of different lenses and I can really say that this camera offers the best compromise of price, weight, usage and image quality that a professional in the news industry can have. Sure, it's not the best for a super-ultra-macro-lens. But to be honest - who ever uses that?
For most of all images and situation, the camera is perfect.

Overall I can really recommend this camera. It's been a good friend in many situations, and during my long travelling time as a journalist in Africa, I learned how important it is to have a reliable friend. With this camera, I really had no problems at all, even when it became wet in the jungle or sun was burning in the Savanne of Botswana.
