Since my Canon IXUS 850 is already 3 years old and eventhough I still love it's features and its easy functionality but I believe it's time already to upgrade on my camera.
I have made my own research regarding what's best to buy and most importantly what suits your interest. I believe that it is not more about how good and how competent the gadget is but it's more on how at ease you are with the product you have on hand.
The 40D is what I am setting my eyes now. This camera is one the finest out there of its class. The large sensors have lower noise, which I think is one of the most important thing to consider. Although the lens still holds more weight in a clearer, sharper and more detailed photographs.
Now the down side when it comes to changing lenses is the dust that would settle on the sensor surface which in turn could cause a bad effect on your photos. But because of the EOS 40D's technological advancement, it has an integrated cleaning system that will remove the dust using an ultrasonic vibration. The self cleaning sensor is automatically activated whenever the camera is powered on or off.
Hold your breath for one last thing that I'm going to tell you. We never shot or use our cameras against bright lights and if we do, it would be hard to recognize and perhaps would be blurry and not a good quality picture, right? But another good feature of Canon 40D is the highlight tone priority that lets you get a better picture even in bright highlights, during broad daylight to portraits in sunlight. There;s just too much of the advantage than what you don't like of it.
I may not own this one yet but it is just so hard to make a review without actually seeing it or holding it up close. You won't be able to personally chose what you like if you won't be able to touch it with your bare hands. And when I do make a research, it is not only about reading it on the net but most of the time, it will be spent in the store shops talking with sales agents and scrutinize the product itself. Not to mention the time spent with friends who have the same products or have experience of the same kind. I won't buy or won't acquire anything that doesn't pass my critical hands and eyes. People who know me knows what I'm saying.
It's time to say goodbye with point and shoot and embrace the revolutionary evolution of dSLR.
