Advantages: Light weight, easy to use and good battery life Disadvantages: Night Shot a bit low in quality
...two main brands that is sony and canon and I decided to go for the best one i.e Sony and let me tell you guys, it was a choice that paid me well. The lens is amazing which is very much expected. But the main advantage of the camera came in handling. A very light weight camera can be carried without too much hassle. I got a belt bag for it and now it is more convenient. The zoom is very good and stabilizer is powerful. Not like others where you have ... ...zoom in your camera. The night mode performed well although I think it could have been better but then it is obvious with digital camera and that also with such a competitive pricing. You will have to go for a Digi SLR for a best quality night shot exposure. The battery life was something which will never get a complain. I got a 120min + battery life when it was full charged and the best part is that the start of the camera is very quick which is ...

Advantages: Incredible image quality, extreme zoom, and touchscreen Disadvantages: Honestly, nothing I can think of!
This is the best camcorder I've ever dealt with. It has great features, is easy to operate, and it is a very reasonable price. The 60 GB hard drive space is what attracted me originally to this camera. I wanted to upgrade from my old piece of junk Panasonic camera, so I went online and found this beauty. After reading great things about it, I decided to purchase it. I took it out of the box and immediately felt the Steven Spielberg mania creeping ... ...camcorder. I love the fact that it can zoom in so closely to an object so far away and not lose its image quality. I don't really use the night vision, but it kind of neat to have. It makes you feel like a Navy Seal! The touch panel screen is kind of awkward at first, because I was so used to using buttons on the camera itself. But, after a month or so, the touch screen became second nature to me. I would definitely recommend this camera to anyone ...

Advantages: Easy to use, Touch screen, 40Xzoom, Good video quality. Disadvantages: Its little bit slow on discs.
I have personally used Sony's camcorder in my company to make some real time videos. The greatest advantage to use this Handycam over other complicated Handycams is its ease of use I mean its damn easy to operate and follow its functions.
Some of the features that I should list are:
1. 40x optical zoom over 2000x digital zoom
2. Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, I dint know what that stands for but it gives you the best quality
3. 2.7-inch wide touch ... ...own it, you know its
I am giving 4 stars to this camera because I don't my company's camera :(. But I think it can be a great family video recorder due to its picture quality.
Potential Users: Any one who want to catch their life's most memorable and most exciting moments in video. If you are going for some great places(specially outside you city or country) to spend your vacations then please have it because once you return from vacation and if ...

Advantages: Small, lightweight, easy to use Disadvantages: Software/Editing limitations, should buy extras to get the most out of it
...good is that?
The Sony Handycam DCR SR45 is one of the handycams that I was researching and have found that it really isn't as great as I would have expected from Sony. Sony is my preferred brand when it comes to televisions but it seems that most people have something to gripe about when it comes to this handycam.
First for a few facts about this Sony handycam: The SR45 is fairly lightweight, at about 3 pounds, and is a breeze to hold while filming ... ...is saved to a 30 Gigabyte hard disc which is quite large. The optical lens zooms to 40x and the digital zooms to an amazing 2000x. The viewscreen is 2.7 inches in diameter which isn't too bad. Sound is captured with a built in microphone that has built in 5.1 surround sound recording capabilities
Now for some of the downsides...
The zoom is truly amazing, but the more that you use the digital zoom the worse the quality of the picture once the filming ...
