Video Performance The video performance of the DCR-VX2100 is quite impressive. The camcorder includes three 1/3 in. 380K pixel CCDs which have 340K effective pixels for video and 340K effective pixels for stills. Good Points : Camera follows the classic Handycam design: a viewfinder centered on the back with the battery mounted below, a tape compartment and a zoom rocker on the right, a flip-out LCD monitor on the left, and ... ...front, capped with a rectangular lens hood.
Bad Points : Camcorder simply doesn't have professional audio connections, 24P and HD video, sophisticated image-parameter controls, and interchangeable lenses

...total let down. Maybe the Sony engineers took a crumpled up design paper out of Carl's trashcan and unfolded it and used it. Videos: The video camera ONLY takes "good movies" in broad daylight. The video stabilization feature causes a sort of "heat wave" ripple effect when you pan across scenes. Its kind of annoying b/c the camera apparently can't figure out that its not canceling a "vibration/shake" and its panning and the image should stream horizontally ... ...not in full lit daylight - Oh I don't know, say taking a movie of a birthday party indoors of a cake with less than 70 candles on it. You will find the video is, how shall we say, horrible. Absolutely snowy and all faded out as this device completely fails to realistically capture the moment. What a LET DOWN! My 7 yr old $308 tape camera SOARED at moments like this! You do have an option - turn on night mode! OOOH-Yea! Now your guests eyes appear ...

...of camera, one of the Sony DSR PD170 we use for the production of many events outside of our reality like. Its function is very flexible once until now we have to use two years and until now only needed some routine maintenance only. last year my company buy 1 unit of the Sony DSR PD170. For wireless connectivity is also not an issue of this unit.
The problem of image quality is good (3ccd), and proven 5 units from the camera that we have everything ... ...Even the battery on the Sony DSR PD170 to the now still running well.
not only outside the room we use this camera we use for production using a green screen and the result is impresive although the need to add light to the strong support
