The Gold Standard in Indie Production
Review of Panasonic AG DVX100B by absolut_wisted

Advantages: Value, Durability, Imaging, Audio
Disadvantages: A bit pricey, and popular to thieves!

...it's fantastic in every way. Panasonic got everything right with the DVX -- the balance, the build quality, the imaging integrity, and the on-board sound hardware. It's everything you want and more. For the advanced user, it has fully manual operation with a great feel to its hefty focus ring. For the basic user, it has an exceptional auto mode that resists the 'focus hunting' that most (if not all) consumer cams are victim to. With dual XLR inputs ...
...lavalier, etc) and the Panasonic handles low light with the best of them. I've shot two short films with this camera and was astounded with its flexibilty and would not hesitate to recommend this tool to anyone who wants to cut their teeth on a project, either amateur or professional. ... Sony Handycam DCR SR45
Review of Sony Handycam DCR SR45 by nitishspatel

Advantages: Compact, lightweight, stores video to 30GB hard drive ,stouch screen.
Disadvantages: Barely possible standard-definition video quality

It's very easy to use, goes from off to recording in seconds, is small enough to throw in a bag and go, and its internal 30GB hard drive gives you anywhere from 7 to 20 hours of recording time depending on the quality settings you choose plus you can save video and stills to Memory Stick Pro Duo cards up to 8GB.and if you've gotten used to the definition and clarity of HD video, the SR45 won't be satisfying. The switch operates smoothly as does the ... Advantages: Flip-out LCD monitor on the left, Eaasy to Use
Disadvantages: don't hav prof. audio conn., 24P and HD video, interchangeable lenses

Overall Rating : 3.0/5 Video Performance The video performance of the DCR-VX2100 is quite impressive. The camcorder includes three 1/3 in. 380K pixel CCDs which have 340K effective pixels for video and 340K effective pixels for stills. Good Points : Camera follows the classic Handycam design: a viewfinder centered on the back with the battery mounted below, a tape compartment and a zoom rocker on the right, a flip-out LCD monitor on the left, and ...
...front, capped with a rectangular lens hood. Bad Points : Camcorder simply doesn't have professional audio connections, 24P and HD video, sophisticated image-parameter controls, and interchangeable lenses If you are looking for quality automatic and point and shoot capabilities, the DCR-VX2100 is not the camcorder for you My Personal Experience is if you need this camcorder for professional use , this camcorder is not for you. However , if you ... Read review

Perfect for capturing your most important memories
Review of Panasonic PV GS 90 by cutleave

Advantages: Advanced Optical Image Stabilization (OIS)
Disadvantages: Poor battery life

...some disadvantage of the camcorder.. Panasonic has addressed several design flaws in previous models to make this one unique and they have added some improvement Quality of this camcorder is very good in outdoor lighting and indoor performance is also good. I feel with this camcorder you pay less than you got more (I mean this camcorder have lot's of advantages) Pros 1. Advanced Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Panasonic has a reputation of ...
...move the camera with minimal screen jitter… 2. built in lens cover; it slides open and close by moving a sliding button. Say goodbye to dangling or lost lens covers… 3. A usable built in LED light. It won't light up a room but just enough helpful illumination for a subject 3 to 5 feet away in dim areas… 4. Shoots and displays video in widescreen 16x9 and standard 4x3 formats… Cons: 1. Poor battery life. Battery included barely lasts 1 hour. Using ... Read review
