Cooler Master CM 690
Review of Cooler Master CM 690 by fineday

Advantages: Low price and big size
Disadvantages: Could be heavy when fully loaded

This mid-tower chasis wasn't a higher end product but the price does contribute to the value of this product. It is quite heavy when loaded. The specification showed about 10kg but after added all parts, the total weight could go up to 20kg! Its big size did help a lot (at least compared to other similarly priced products) when installing and adding peripheral components. There are a few slot type trays ready for hard disk drives. The position is ...
...removed. Toolless installation is also a plus here, however I found that the plastic clips for holding the expansion cards are somewhat flimsy and hence I used screw instead. The latest batch came with 4 fans despite the specfication printed on the box is still stated 3 fans are standard! I would recommend this for those users that need more room for new hardware, for instance the high performance graphic cards which are quite long. But remember, ... Read review

This Computer Case is a joy to have
Review of Cooler Master Cosmos 1000 by BaTheWar

Advantages: To many read my review
Disadvantages: none

Pros: SIZE (3-way SLI Compatible (youtube.com -> 3-way SLI Crysis cruncher)), CABLE MANAGEMENT (but is restricted in its ability if not using Ultra power supply or ""flat connector"" power supply), BUILD QUALITY ((may feel lightweight due to partial aluminum construction (although some reviewers stated this product was heavy), STYLE ((the case looks very appealing to the eye (aesthetics), TOOLESS ACCESSABILITY AND BAYS (for the most part). Also as ...
...you've researched this product you know what you're getting so size and weight shouldn't be a problem unless you can't easily lift 17.5Kg/+-40lbs. *Reviewers have stated the case's flawed in its hard drive cooling capacity, this is a slight error as the case now ships with an optional HDD cooling add-on that you can install an optional 120mm fan into which occupies the bottom two 5.25" bays*. Or you can mod your case (YouTube.com -> Cosmos 1000 Case ... Read review

Top case with one niggling design flaw
Review of Gigabyte 3D AURORA GZ-FSCA1-ATB by klashar

Advantages: Spacious, very cool, excellent quality
Disadvantages: No decoupled HD mounts

I built a PC in one of these cases over a year ago and can share some thoughts with you. ** My goal, a quiet PC ** I hate noisy PCs I really do, a PC to me should be as quiet as possible. I wanted a big case that would let me build a quiet PC, so one with good airflow and large 120 fans. This one comes with three and before you get too excited, three fans = vibration and therefore noise. My solution was to put the fans on rubber mounts which helped. ...
...and that helped reduce the hum to a minimum. However the PC has one design flaw, the hard drives don't have rubber mounts like you find in say Dells, so all that vibration transfers directly to the case making a lot of noise. The solution of course would be mount the HD in a 5" drive bay rubberized mount, but I didn't bother with that. It turns out that I could turn off one120mm fan which was inline with the CPU cooler (in my case a Zalman). The ... Read review
