Advantages: A grilling delight! Disadvantages: None
One of people's all time favorite foods is a grilled hamburger. There are a million different varieties of the good old hamburger. I found a long time ago that by adding sausage to many hamburger recipes, you add tons of flavor. I do this with lasagna, spaghetti sauce, and hamburger recipes. Try these burgers on for size! They really have a different taste and add some excitement to a common food, the basic hamburger.

1 chopped onion
1 clove of garlic (fresh and minced)
1 tbsp. of parsley
Salt and pepper (a few shakes of each is what I use)
Mixing and Cooking Instructions:
Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. Make sure you really mix it well.
Form 4 patties with your hands. Cook on a preheated grill. I usually cook mine about 4 minutes on each side. I cut through to make sure they are thoroughly cooked. For added flavor, you can add ...

...the above ingredients. After mixing well, form burger shaped patties. Grill, broil, fry or bake to your desired doneness.
The trick to a JUICY burger is DO NOT press down on the patty after flipping! That drains all the good tasty juice out of it and dries it up! ...

...meat becomes too fine, the burger will have a bouncy texture! If you do not have a food processor, pass the steak through the fine blade of a mincer.
Empty the meat into a bowl and season with freshly milled pepper, but don't add salt till after the cooking because it draws out the juices. Now form the mixture into four rounds, pressing each one firmly together (it won't need egg or anything else to keep it together if you press firmly enough). ... ...with clingfilm and leave in the fridge until you're ready to cook them.
When the barbecue is good and hot, brush the grill with a little oil to prevent the meat sticking to it, and give the burgers a light coating of oil, too. Grill them for 4-6 minutes on each side, depending on how you like them. The same timing also applies to a domestic grill turned to its highest setting.

Advantages: They are heavenly! Disadvantages: Some of the cheese might run out. Seal well.
I like to experiment with food, just like a lot of other people do. Everything, or almost everything comes out great when I just think it up. Last week I made stuffed hamburgers. Here is what I did:
I took 2 pounds of hamburger and put it into a mixing bowl (you can use how much you think you will need) because I like left overs for the next day. Next chop up some onion (I like to chop my onions in in my little food processor). Add them to the burger. ... ...to also add a good dollop of steak sauce.
Next I work it in all together and I make my burgers into large, and fairly thin patties. I go ahead and make them all into patties and place them on a sheet of aluminum foil. Next I cut some extra sharp cheddar cheese. I like the New York cheese the best. I cut them in cubes and place a cube on half of the hamburgers. Next use the other half of the patties to go on top of the patties with the cheese on ...

Advantages easy to make, cheap Disadvantages None really
...I recently read a review on Bernard Matthews Turkey Burgers so being a chef I thought I would share with you my own Turkey Burgerrecipe!
It is my first review so bare with me!
The recipe served up to eight people, but can be reduced accordingly, or the burgers can easily wrapped individually in cling film and frozen for up to a month. Each burger contains around 400 calories
120g (4oz) Butter or other margarine or spread
1 onion, finely chopped
1 kg (2lb) Minced Turkey
180g (60z) chopped cooked ham
2tbsp chopped parsley
salt and black pepper to taste
4 tbsp Sunflower oil
It may sound an insufficient recipe for a burger but it is delicious! The ham really adds something! If you use Turkey Ham, then this adds a bit of smokiness to the turkey.
Simply fry to onion in half of the butter until soft but not browning...

Advantages Virtuous recipes for those with strong willpower. Disadvantages Life's too short for Buckwheat Groats and Alfalfa!
..., but not intrigued enough to make it.
Salads & Lunch-boxes
These recipes range from "Warm Red Lentil Salad" to "Cucumber, Dulse and Avodaco Salad". Dulse is a seaweed vegetable. As with many of the recipes in this book, most of the ingredients are fresh vegetables that you would have in your weekly grocery but then there is an added ingredient such as "Dulse" or "Buckwheat Groats" that you would have to shop for specifically.
Main Meals
The Main Meals chapter was, in my opinion, the redeeming feature of this book. It contains 37 recipes, most of which are easy to make and many of which are both enjoyable and nutritious. In particular, the "Chickpea Burger" recipe is the pearl lurking within this book. This is the only recipe that I currently still use from this book and is a great hit with kids. However, the "Mushroom Stroganoff", "Hearty...

Advantages looks good, range of content, comps and money off Disadvantages sometimes hard to find a copy - they go quickly or aren't displayed well
...I found the sainsburys magazine to be a good read compared to other supermarket magazines. But I would only pick it up at the checkout if it was obviously on sight - I wouldn't go out my way or ask staff for it.
However saying that it is colourful, glossy and as well put together as normal magazines and contains easy to follow recipes and interesting features along the topics of home, garden and cooking.
a good point is that it contains meals on a budget which can be pulled out and stored. The issue I read had a burgerrecipe to feed four for a fiver and they actually tasted very nice - it was a recipe from jamie oliver also - which I think is great.
This magazine has regular competitions, money off coupons and vouchers. The issue I read had money saving vouchers for wine - which I don't drink so didn't use, also some money off...
