Easy to use
Review of Sunbeam 5891 by
spaerra
Advantages: inexpensive
Disadvantages: large size
This breadmaker does a good job baking several variations of bread. You can set the loaf size, brown level, and type of bread. I was very disappointed in the basic white bread recipe that came with it, but when I found a good recipe, my bread turns out perfect every time. The real key is to check the dough at the beginning of the cycle and add more water or flour as needed. You should use breadmaker flour, which is a little more expensive than regular ... ...seasonings to create my own variations. I have also used it to make the dough for buns that I bake in the oven. It beeps at the end of each cycle, so it is easy to know when to take the dough out. Cleanup is fairly easy. The bread comes right out and it basically wipes clean. The down side is that it takes a few hours to bake a loaf of bread (depending on the size of the loaf), so you have to plan ahead. It is also very large and takes up alot of ...

bread hot and tasty
Review of Toastmaster TBR20H by
schellsr
Advantages: yields good results
Disadvantages: needs to be easier to clean
If you like warm, fresh, bread, I think you will like this machine.
It comes in the color white only , so if you are looking for that flaming red color, you are out of luck.
The features it has are probably standard on any bread machine, but the one I really like is the delay.
I have put a bread mix together and allowed it to be on a two hour delay so that I could have it fresh and ready for my supper, once.
I was a little worried that the bread ... ...But the machine actually keeps the dough warm enough until it is time to make it.
I love the fact that I do not have to knead down the bread, the machine takes care of all that. I use the recipe book that was included and have made just about all the bread recipes. I have experimented also. I have noticed that if you do not put your ingredients in the order that they are written, you might get bread that is flat, to hard and taste yuck.
There are ...
