Brand New

Advantages Good quality post-hardcore/emo
Disadvantages Not especially different

...When I first discovered Brand New, say 6 months ago, I was extremely pleased, as there was not enough of their particular genre of music (post-hardcore/emo) on the market. However, I have now come up against a great obstacle in being able to commit myself to saying what a great band they are. That obstacle is, or should I say are, the abundance of similar bands - Taking Back Sunday, Finch, Thursday etc etc. However, back to the point. Brand New are a very talented group, especially the lyricist, Jesse Lacey - take for example the classic line from 'I Will Play My Game Beneath The Spin Light' on 'Deja Entendu', "If looks could realy kill, my profession would be staring...". ...Brand New are a talented group and stand a chance in making it in that genre of music. I went to see them with incubus in the wembley arena and that was one of the best concerts I’ve been to. There music runs along with other bands such as Taking Back Sunday etc. I would recommend this band to people that like any sort of rock as there music slightly varies in there albums. The First album by Brand New (Your Favorite weapon) would appeal to people who like all American rejects and simple plan. The second album (Deja Entendu) would appeal to people who like taking back Sunday and new found glory. There songs can be listened to again and again and I think sorepoint records are lucky to have such a talented band . Sorepoint records are highly recommended mainly for brand new and alexisonfire. Advantages Cheap for how great it is, well constructed, greart lyrics, diverse.
Disadvantages 1 song let down. Audiable sounds. Rather long, pretensious song names.

...Ok...I actually wrote this as a review in English Language last year...(which explains why its a bit out of date)...but I figured...why not use it?
