...see.
First off, this COBY CD248 has all of the normal features you would be looking forward in a boombox. It has AM/FM radio and stereo cassette/player recorder, with 2 way cassette recording (that includes CD & radio). It is also equipped with a top loading compact disc player, and a jack for you to plug into so you can use headphones if you so desire. Sounds like a great deal eh? Not so fast my friend.
The fun started when we took the box down ... ...own CD's, so that was the first thing we tried in the box. Ah Beach Boys music...first song. Second song...then on the third song it started. Skip, skip, skip. I forwarded it a couple of songs, and tried again. Skip. I figured it was my CD, so I loaded up another. This one played 5 songs, and then the skip began again. Frustrated, I decided to try another tact.
This time I went back to the room and got 2 regular music CD's, not ones that I had made. ...

Advantages: Super Cheap! Went on clearance (as most MEMOREX products usually do.) Disadvantages: Doesn't work as intended. OK as a normal boombox, sadly its not the 80's anymore.
...never been happy with a MEMOREX product. Half the features listed on a MEMOREX product usually don't work. they usually break very quickly, MEMEROX offers very little support for their products, if any at all. (example: I have a Memorex "fusion digital media player" I bought less than a month ago, it is now a $90 picture holder.) OH, and good luck trying to get them to respond to an email. MEMOREX needs a class action lawsuit against them for fraudulent ...

Advantages: compact, easy to use, simple, functional Disadvantages: hard to access
The SDI iHome2go is a great way to make your iPod portable, especially on long car rides or waiting in lines. It's fairly compact, making it easy to put in a backpack or a suitcase, and it's ability to charge the iPod as well as play it is a great bonus. Unfortunately, the zip-up function makes the iPod a bit inaccessible, meaning that you either have to unzip the case every time you want to change a song, or make a playlist that you know you won't ... ...for it's fairly low price, and provides exactly the functions it advertises without extraneous gadgetry or complicated controls. With only a few cables used for connectivity, it's great if you want to provide music for a party or just play music in your room without using a hundred cables to connect your iPod to a boom box or the car stereo.
Occasional battery changes are necessary even if you keep the iHome plugged into your wall at all times, ...

This was a cheap little boombox that i bought for my dogs.... Yes i said i bought for my dogs... when I am gone during work I leave dogs in kitchen and laundryroom area and I always have a radio on for them. I find it helps to soothe them and they cant hear stuff outside and bark excessivley... for longest time i had very old Radio shack portable for them.. well after a year of trying to keep stations in and comming home to the dogs jamming to static.... ... ...this one at my favorite place... my local pawn shop... it was a nice compact unit and would fit on top of my microwave cart, out of the way. I tested at the shop and then brought it home... I hooked it up and set a station and i was amazed!!! The sound quality of this little box is very good! The weird "bug eyes" like speakers, set kinda on the side, make the stereo sound travel around the room. It is easily heard and enjoyed on a lower volume, as ...

I bought this Citizen CD 102 Boombox as a present for my son who is ten years old. He was very happy with it. I had seen a lots of reviews online before I purchased it, this Citizen Boombox did not disappoint me. It is the best sounding box in it's price range. This unit has it all, including CD, Cassette and an AM/FM tuner. You can record from CD to tape with very low volume, no need to keep it blasting. The FM tuner is digital, and the unit comes ...
