Advantages: great songs that tell it like it is Disadvantages: none
...Probably the best current male artist out there. Right up there with george straight and also a former rodeo cowboy. His songs tell it like it is and most of they have quite a bit that most people can relate too. He plays guitar as well as singing. Some of his songs include; should have been a cowboy, I wish i didn't know now, we were in love, How do ya like me now, and rodeo moon. One of his best know songs is courtesy of the red white and blue. This songs was inspired by the terrorist attacks on the united states september 11, 2001. The lyrics are rather expicit so I wont put them here in the review but I would definatly listen to it. He played that song overseas for several members of the us milarty at various bases after troops were deployed to afghanastan and the war in iraq....

Advantages a great taster for new and old blue rodeo fans!! SPREAD THE WORD Disadvantages so many songs to chose from for this compilation
...I became a fan of BlueRodeo whilst living in Toronto after i heard 'try'. If you ever get chance to see them live, i definately recommend it. Their live shows are worth seeing, sound great, great interaction with each other and the audience. Whereas some
Their sound is a mixture of folk/rock and country. A diifficult one to describe really. Probably not the tradition country sound. I can't even compare them to anyone so you get a rough idea, as to me they are a little different or maybe i just have limited musical knowledge.I'd find it hard to pigeon hole them into being specifically rock specifically folk or country. After all i am just a person who likes music and not a professional reviewer!!! Great tunes with great lyrics. Even if you aren't too familiar with them this is definately worth buying. Their sound has the guitars...

Advantages This man has talent Disadvantages It may take a few listens
...The release of this the first album by Ron Sexsmith was a long journey that had started in December 1987 when Ron had not long moved to Toronto he went to see a producer called Bob Wiseman, he liked Ron’s songs and agreed to help him record a Demo tape, the producer just had a tiny basement studio this is where the demo was to be recorded, a 4 track demo tape was planned.
In the process of recording the demo the 4 tracks turned onto 11 tracks, however Bob Wiseman played for a well-known Canadian band called “BlueRodeo” and with their busy touring schedule and Bob’s other work commitments the recording of the 11 tracks was stretched over a 3-year period, finally the 11 songs were released as a independent cassette called “Grand Opera Lane” this was early 1991.
As if by magic a copy of the tape found...

Review of Aha Shake Heartbreak - Kings Of Leon by

taken from ciao.co.uk
Advantages Full of depth and feeling. It rocks too. Disadvantages Keep away from maiden aunts.
...guitar (most apparent in the track 'Four Kicks') and a song about erectile dysfuntions ('Soft') could put you off if you are looking for something more clean cut, but these tracks force themselves upon you with great energy and distinction rather than sit there tamely waiting for you to take notice.
Tracklisitng:
Slow Night, So Long
King Of The Rodeo
Taper Jean Girl
Pistol Of Fire
Milk
Bucket
Soft
Razz
Day Old Blues
Four Kicks
Velvet Snow
Re-Memo
If you are looking to be challenged by your music, and want something unique rather than the same old indie/alternative band, for just under £10 this is a must....
