Samsung BD-P1500 is a high definition 1080p resolution disc player. It is designed worth for its cost but not the most perfect. It gives high quality sound with no fan sound or noise. It is a player for those who seek the mid- to lower-cost player, to (duh) save money. You get the player for what you pay. I received a gift card to Sears and bought this blu ray player while it was on sale so ended up getting it for really cheap. It was on sale for $300 and after my gift card I paid under $200. ...I was dead wrong. I will say that the bigger the TV you have to watch this on the better it will look. You do not lose resolution with the larger TV sets so you don't get that boxy break up thing you get on your computer sometimes when watching video (pixilation for you techy people). We LOVE our Blu-ray disc player. You don't even need to buy the expensive blu-ray dvd's to get a great movie experience! We get amazing picture and sound, the best I've ever seen with both types of dvds. It's almost sureal how good the picture is. The only problem we've had is that it is sensitive to any small defects in the dvd. The player takes a long time to turn on, warm up, and read a dvd, which is a little annoying. It is also a bit difficult ...

Having this amazing device in my home feels like an honour. I can't believe the incredible graphics this thing is capable of! I own many blu-ray movies, namely spiderman 3, dragon wars, irobot and black hawk down and, seriousely, I can't stop showing them off to my mates on this player!
