Makes great margaritas!
Review of Oster 4094 by Justine82

Advantages: Blends ice well, durable
Disadvantages: Loud

The blender I had before only cost me $5 at a yard sale and didn't work very well so I decided to upgrade. The price I paid was about $60 which I thought was pretty high and I have seen it for more than that. The best thing about this blender in my opinion is it's ability to really chop up ice. My other blender always left big ice chunks in my margaritas but I don't have that problem because this one really does a great job. This blender only has ...
...want to pulse you have to switch between on and off repeatedly which is annoying but not a big deal considering how well the blender blends. It looks nice on the counter with the chrome beehive design and it is very durable. The pitcher is glass which I like much better than the plastic ones. It is easy to clean and very simple to use. My old blender was very old and very loud and I assumed that because this is a very new model it would be quieter. ... Read review

cool looking
Review of Hamilton Beach 52754 by stonecold

Advantages: easy to use
Disadvantages: n/a

Some may not like this type of blender but I do. I think it does a very good job blending up things. It is very easy to use and you can blend up so many things with this. It has a couple different kinds of functions. It cost an ok price. Not too expensive or even to cheap at all. But my wife uses it to make the kids milkshakes all the time. It leaves some of the icecream in chunks but it does a very good job in blending it up. It does not take too ... Read review

Low quality smoothie blender
Review of Bella Cucina 10029 by greekmiss

Advantages: Fairly cheap...
Disadvantages: Doesn't last long - quality of parts not that good

...believe our experience with the Bella Cucina. I purchased this item thinking that I would save some money from not purchasing the Magic Bullet. It looked the same and seemed to have pretty much everything the Magic Bullet had. The only difference was that I was saving some $20-$25. The Bella Cucina came with the 4 cups, 2 solid lids, 1 cheese shaker lid, 2 blades, 4 cup edge rings and the machine base. Use is very easy - just add ingredients, close ...
...So I brought the Bella Cucina home and was very excited to use it so got it ready for a test run. I found a recipe for a fruit smoothie online and followed the directions for the Bella Cucina. I added a blade and started blending. At first it seemed like it was turning but then it smelled like rubber was burning. I didn't hold the cup down for a long time but rather did pumps to allow the bigger chunks in the cup to fall closer to the blade. My fiance ... Read review

West Bend 6550
Review of West Bend 6550 by xiaojun111

Advantages: good price and design, easy to use and clean
Disadvantages: none

I have bought this West Bend 6550 blender for my family last month to replace my old one which was Oster. I purchased this blender mainly to make smoothies. My mother can not chew solid food as her has some major dental problems. I use my blender at least once a day. So for, I have used it for several jobs and I just love it. I use frozen fruit to make my smoothies and this blender makes easy work of mixing the ingredients quickly to make a cafe-style ...
...easy cleanup. The plastic jar makes it lighter and not so worried about breakage. The motor is quiet, yet powerful enough to handle my most demanding smoothie tasks. The cord storage on the bottom is also a great feature. Especially it has a satisfactory price. Overall this blender seems to be well made and pretty well thought out. ... Read review

Want a Worthless Blender? Then Buy This One!!
Review of KitchenAid KSB560PK 5 Speed by bigwerd07

Advantages: Initially, it worked ok.
Disadvantages: Poor construction, bad customer service, defective cooling system.

...a blender. This blender by KitchenAid seemed to be just what I was looking for. I bought the KSB560PK for just over 100 dollars. As always with newegg.com, it arrived seemingly instantly at my doorstep. I anxiously plugged it in and made various cocktails of fruits and vegetables. I was initially impressed with the power of the unit. It handled the carrots and cucumbers with ease. After using it experimentally, I started to get down to business. ...
...by the manufacturer, I contacted kitchenAid by phone. Needless to say, they had absolutely horrible customer service. The lady that I talked to was not only useless, she was rude as well!! I was informed that I needed to send the unit in for repairs or replacement, under the one year manufacturer warranty. I found this out after being asked about 30 questions about how I used the product. I sent the blender in and I am awaiting the new one. Overall, ... Read review
