Horrible blender
Review of Hamilton Beach 50644 by rprmsr

Advantages: none
Disadvantages: it doesn't blend

...This is a blender I would be imbarrased to recommend to anyone. It's a waste of money no matter the cost, because it just doesn't come close to completing the job. I am very dissappointed and hope that Hamilton Beach puts better quality into their other products. ... Read review

Good concept, poorly executed
Review of Magic Bullet 7712.00 by rprmsr

Advantages: Ease of use for small jobs, compact
Disadvantages: not big enough for larger blending jobs, too expensive for quality

This is a great option for those with small spaces and who need a blender for small jobs and less frequently. It's kind of a hassle to blend large quantities, because you have to blend things up in smaller portions and it takes awhile and can get kind of messy. The commercials are misleading as they show someone using it for several different jobs in one meal. You can't really do that, because you only have one blending blade and one grinding blade. ...
...the motor in the dishwasher. Several of the parts never get used. I would recommend buying the set that includes the blender attachment to do the bigger jobs. I don't think this is worth the $50-60 I paid for it, I'd rather get a food processor. But, it's ease of use can be rather handy. ... Read review

Worth it!
Review of Cuisinart CSB-77 by pamelaannesee

Advantages: One 'engine' operates all three appliances and is easy to store.
Disadvantages: The measuring cup is not generally big enough to blend or whisk things in.

I was given this as a housewarming gift and it has not yet disappointed me. The measuring cup is a bit shallow for the grand-scale of smoothies and various other foods I like to blend but it serves very well as a measuring cup anyway. The hand-held blender is perfect for blending in bowls or in pots when making soups. The chopper works great as both a chopper and a blender. It quickly chops things like onions which is faster than chopping it with ...
...it can end up blending the food too. There are no speed options on this product but the speed provided is perfect. The hand-held blender blades are a bit difficult to clean but, if soaked in water for a few minutes, the food residue comes off easily. The whisk splatters a bit but it whips cream quickly and easily. ... Read review

Affordable Quality
Review of Hamilton Beach 52284WV 12 Speed by jollyholly

Advantages: price, simplicity, speed
Disadvantages: none

This Hamilton Beach Wave Action blender has been the best blender I have ever owned. True to its advertising, the 'wave action' makes it less necessary to stop and scrape down the edges while blending which makes the whole process a lot faster. It is easy to disassemble and reassemble, all of its parts are conveniently dishwasher safe, and it is easily stored; yet does heavy duty work. I have even been able to use it to crush ice well enough to make ... Read review

Good but not quite the magic bullett
Review of Maxi-Matic EPB1700 by jtbull46

Advantages: good with ice cream, veggies, blending eggs
Disadvantages: does not do cheese real good or large ice

This was actually a gift. When I saw it the first thing I thought of is that I am getting junk and someone should have bought me the magic bullet. Now I have not tried to use this for everything to challenge it yet, but it has done pretty good with the majority of the stuff that I have put into it. You get the 200 watt power mixer itself with this four mugsand edges along with a little cup to put something small like cheese in. You also get lids ...
...You basically load up put it upside down then press the juice and you are in business. Turn it back over remove the blade and drink. It handles pretty good, Milk shakes, protein shakes, smoothies, and coffee drinks with ice mixed in. I also chopped up peppers, tomatoes, onions and the like. It worked ok with chees, but not as good as the magic bullett. It also does not crush normal sized ice cubes as good as the magic bullet. Like I said This was ... Read review
