Based on the Famous Tv series,Blade: House of Chthon is the episode that introduces the mythology of the Blade character to a television audience.
Chronologically, this series is supposedly set after the events of the final movie where the Daystar biological weapon was unleashed, killing almost all vampires.
However, some vampire nests or houses still exist and Blade (is continuing his efforts to eliminate them. One such nest is the House of Chthon, located in Detroit and headed by a Turnblood (human turned vampire) Marcus Van Sciver (Neil Jackson), who in turn reports to the House's mysterious group of Purebloods (those with pure vampire lineage), hinted to but not shown in this pilot.
The Blade in this series also has an assistant who furnishes him with the technologically advanced weapons needed to destroy vampires.
