This is my first blackberry phone and let me tell you something...
It was so worth the price!! There are so many things you can do with it and each type of communication (i.e: texting, email, IM, over the phone) is very easy to use and has a great user-friendly interface.
Now granted the keypad is not a full QWERTY keyboard and when your first using it can be frustrating BUT alas! ... they have a great T9 system in the phone which completes the words for you as you type them and gives you choices if the first word offered is not the one you were typing.
Now when typing profanities it will offer the word but you have to look for it. Sometimes I send messages with the words "shut" and "duck" and those were definitely not the words I was looking for lol. Friends will just stare at the message scratching heads thinking either I'm tired, drunk or have just lost it completely lol.
This is a slick and sexy phone and very nice for the ladies... especially the red one which is the one I have. It's very nice and think it is a perfect phone for the first time blackberry owner.
