Have you ever been out shopping and looked for something only to come up short handed? Well, seeing as my husband has to work with a bunch of coffee addictive individuals, I have been "blessed" with all the items that they no longer use or need. His office is constantly updating things, therefore, they are constantly replacing and tossing out perfectly old , and outdated things, also. I was so "fortunate "to have been given this model of a coffee maker. This machine has a stainless steel carafe, (that's the only stainless steel on it), and it holds up to10 cups. I think that is an exageration though, on my part. More like eight cups. Anyway here are somethings that you might want to know-
When pouring your coffee in your cup, make sure it is over the sink, leaks,leaks,leaks!
Do not hope to be quite, it moans and groans when making coffee.
Don't expect a clean looking machine. It constently requires cleanup. It stays coffee stained and the burner always has coffee on it.
The unit itsself leaks. I have mine on a towel, to soak up water. See why 10 cups is an exagerration?????
Try and read the timer and clock. It has the worst graphics. I have to be "face to face" in order to see the time.
* It does have a timer, which has always been reliable, if set.
* It does have a see-through water holder, so you can look to see how much water it has or does not have.
* It did not cost me anything, not sure about for you.
** You can purchase another coffee maker instead!!!!Hahaha
