...two years ago. I like Black & Decker products. I believe you get what you pay for and this knife is well worth the price. I can honestly say that I use this electric knife only a few times a year. For one thing, it's in a cabinet that I don't think about. I will say that it's PERFECT for carving turkeys. Nobody ever wants that job. ...I'll be pulling the old Black & Decker knife out again. I have also used it to slice ham for sandwiches. This does a great job of slicing uniform thickness of the slices. The blade pops right off which makes it easy to clean. It has a safety lock so that the knife will not operate unless the blade is in place.
