Add up to eight serial ports to your PC and conserve slots. The Serial Host Adapters are ideal for loaded systems because they leave ISA slots free for other uses. Plus they help serial devices to take advantage of the extra speed of the PCI bus. The cards support all PCI interrupts, and an onboard interrupt status port (ISP) provides efficient interrupt sharing. The enhanced COM drivers enable the adapters to take advantage of the ISP in Windows 95/98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows ME. The 8-port models add high-speed RS-232 serial ports to connect digital cameras, printers, scanners, and more.
