Black Box 232<->488 Converter serial adapter

The BLACK BOX 232<->488 Interface Converter enables you to control one IEEE 488 printer or peripheral through a PC serial port. Or an IEEE 488 device can control an RS-232 or RS-422 device. It also converts RS-232 and RS-422 bi-directionally with IEEE 488. The converter's flexible because it runs at a wide range of speeds - from 110 bps to 57.6 kbps. Its dynamically allocated 32 KB buffer is there when and where you need it. It sorts data from whichever port is active. Because no specific buffer is allocated to each port, no buffer space is wasted and incoming data has access to storage when it needs it. That means it unloads print jobs fast. It also has built-in ROM and RAM self-test features. This product is compatible with HP IB and GPIB and features easy-to-configure DIP switches.
