The Bissell 31063 moved my broom outside. It is great on hardwood floors and tile floors. For a cleaner so small, the suction gets up the little dog hairs and crumbs in a timely manner.

I have used it on small areas on carpet to pick up dirt also. The cup is easy to clean and I don't miss those little bags! The cord is long and doesn't require plugging and unplugging so often.

The crevice tool is great for getting around the refrigerator edges.

Hand held part is useful for those pesty things that somehow get under chair and couch cushions. I also use it in the car.

I bought my mother one, also. She doesn't miss the broom either. For the money, it is a great little cleaner.
