Thisis the type of vacuum that you need if you have hard wood floors. It cleans up all the dirt and is so easy to use with out any kinds of problems. I like it because the cord is really long and that it is easier for me to use then the motions of sweeping with a broom. It is vwery light too. This is a very easy light weight floor vacuum to use on your hardwood floors. It is very easy to maintain as well. It can be used in several rooms without over heating at all. The Bissell 31063 moved my broom outside. It is great on hardwood floors and tile floors. For a cleaner so small, the suction gets up the little dog hairs and crumbs in a timely manner. I have used it on small areas on carpet to pick up dirt also. The cup is easy to clean and I don't miss those little bags! The cord is long and doesn't require plugging and unplugging so often.
