This is my Grandma's Cinnamon Roll recipe - written down by my father per her instructions. Some people might consider it more of a sticky bun, considering the lack of icing or frosting. Either way, they're delicious and a rare treat. It's a lot of work, but well worth it.

For Rolls-
1 cup Milk, warmed
1/3 cup Sugar
2 Eggs
½ cup Butter or Margarine
2 tsp. Salt
½ cup Warm Water (for yeast)
2 packages Active Dry Yeast
About 6 cups Flour

For Coating-
1 ½ cups Sugar
Cinnamon

In a large bowl, mix sugar, salt, and butter with warm milk.
In a separate bowl, mix yeast with warm water.
In another separate bowl, beat eggs to blend yolk with whites.
Mix together milk mixture, water mixture, and eggs with flour. Use flour to control thickness of dough. Knead dough thoroughly and let rise.

While proofing the dough, mix about 1 ½ cups sugar with cinnamon until mixture is brown (adjust to taste).

To make the rolls, break off pieces of dough and stretch to an elongated shape. Dip in water and roll in sugar-cinnamon mixture.

Roll the dough pieces and place in a greased pan. Allow to rise
again.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes or until nice and brown. (A 30-minute bake time in not unusual).
