NOT affiliated with BestBuys.com, the web version of the Big Blue Box mortar and brick store, BestBuyPcs has been in the mail order business for 20 years, and eight years ago it went online as an e-commerce business. When you arrive at the home page, you might be confused because there are no "personal computers" listed in the chapter links along the left side of the page. According to Scott, my handy-dandy go-to person, they did sell PCs, but shortly after they became a dot-com, that inventory was dropped. Today the letters stand for Price, Convenience and Service, which is indeed what I found at this website.Based in Abington, Pennsylvania, BestBuyPcs offers an array of electrical conveniences for the home such as home appliances, televisions, cell phones, massage chairs, home theater loungers and other items. If what you are looking for is not in their inventory, they will find it for you. They are certified by GeoTrust, so that a customer's information is kept private. Google is used as the site search engine, and NexTag, PriceGrabber and Shopping.com all offer reviews of BestBuyPcs on their price comparison sites. Orders can be paid by the major credit cards, USPS money order, or a personal check (check must be cleared by the bank before order is shipped). Shipping is primarily by UPS ground, but larger items (televisions) are delivered through a national freight company. APO/FPO and international orders are possible, but the payment/shipping details must be handled by customer service at the time of the order. Orders can be tracked (fun for the kids). Refunds/Returns must be handled as soon as possible through the Returns Department (never had to return anything). There is an 877 (toll free) number for customer service, where you will most likely find Scott or John or another of the helpful crew waiting to answer your questions. You can also send questions by e-mail, and they are very quick to answer. The only negative thing I have ever heard about this company concerns the shipping and insurance charges after an order has gone through. I asked about this and was told that they make their best guess, it is stated on the web site that additional charges may be incurred, and with the price of fuel going up every day, they can't always know how much the shipper will charge. However, they do let the customer know as soon as they do. If the decision is to cancel the order, so be it. Enough business, now for the personal side. I've ordered a few items through BestBuyPcs. It is not my first choice, but it is an option. Customer Service is FANTASTIC. The guys will get you the information you need, even when they don't make the sale that day. When you find an item you would like to consider, the link will send you to a page devoted to that item. There you will find the price, status (in stock), cost of ground shipping and below that there are recommended accessories which you might, or might not need. They do not try to hard-sell you the accessories, but like a good business, the "add to cart" link was at the end of the accessory information. Shipping was just as I expected, and the items were sent without dings or any other trauma. Everything is there in black-and-white, and if the price is right on the item I desire, then I buy it here.
