Manufacturer's product description
With a hard disk capacity of 160GB, the BenQ DE350 lets you record up to 200 hours of video. By recording and storing your favorite programs on the spacious hard disk drive, you can eliminate the hassles of pausing and restarting video to switch discs. The built-in hard disk allows you to view and record programs at the same time. When you are watching a program, but need to interrupt your viewing, all you need is to press the "time-shift" button to record the portions broadcast while you are away. Then, when you return, you can continue from where you left off without missing a single second. Because the time-shifting function stores video onto your hard disk drive, you can skip past commercials or any other parts of the broadcast content in which you are not interested. Now, you can take control of your television viewing, instead of letting program schedules affect the way you arrange your time. The BenQ DE350 makes it easy to burn large numbers of recorded programs on its hard disk to DVD+R. With up to 15x write speeds, the DE350 needs a mere four minutes to complete a DVD with a full hour of program content (in SLP mode on 4x discs). It's a snap to share your favorite TV programs or DV movies with friends and family. The BenQ DE350 uses the same dual-CPU design as the devices from leading Japanese manufacturers. Its two chips independently process video to ensure smooth playback and crisply rendered screen image, even during simultaneous recording. As a result, you are always assured a captivating "live" viewing experience. BenQ's exclusive Precise true-to-life recording technique consists of digital comb filter to detect image source chromatic aberration recording effects. Built-in time base quality and corrector lowers jitters to ensure image stability and adjusts image brightness, color, contrast and degree of saturation at the same time. The built-in 32-bit recording chip supports MPEG-2 encoding and decoding functions in order to achieve superb video recording quality.
