Review of Sounding A Mosaic - Bedouin Soundclash by

Advantages This is a great album, very chilled and funky
Disadvantages Having to wait for the next album...
...After hearing a bit of B.S.C on Radio 1 I was interested straight away.
They had a fresh sound that I found very engaging and chilled out. Lets not make a mistake in the description of Chilled out - this is not a post club CD. This CD is the kind of tunes you want playing at a BBQ in the Summer, a beach party with a few beers and roaring bonfire etc...
Lets position this I don't like Bob Marley that much... This is not real Reggae music it just grabs some of the good bits of it and fuses it together with other genres.
It is much better than the Root Fire album so if you have heard that they have got better since!
I'll provide a track list later with review on each song......

Review of Sounding A Mosaic - Bedouin Soundclash by

taken from ciao.co.uk
Advantages Well produced, funky and fresh sounding
Disadvantages none
...This is a band who deserve to hit the big time. Hailing from Canada, Bedouin are a band that met at Queen's University in Kingston Ontario and who, since graduating 2 years ago, have gathered a large following in their native country.
This fanbase is entirely deserved - Sounding a Mosaic is a fantastic album bringing together reggea and rock effortlessly. While the concept of fusing these two genres is nothing new in itself, the band have managed to do it incredibly well. The first track When the Night Feels My Song instantly stands out as a catchy, poppy hit that really doesnt tire on repeat listenings. The rest of the album continues in the same vein with a well balanced mix of feel good and chilled music, making Sounding a Mosaic one of the best Summer albums of recent years.
The band have definately grown since their first...

Review of Leeds Festival (England) by
PipJim
taken from ciao.co.uk
Advantages Brilliant music, Great atmosphere. One of this countries premier music events
Disadvantages The toilets, the queues and maybe the mud!
...makes a pleasant change (for some) from the rock and indie bands that make up the bulk of the other stages. Whilst it does offer up some of the biggest names from the dance and urban scene it's not really my bag (though I did go see the most awesome Bedouin Soundclash this year). Then on the Sunday the dance tent is magically transformed into the Lockup Stage (or as it was until this year known the Concrete Jungle). This stage really makes the festival for me as it presents some of the biggest names from the punk, hardcore and ska scene. If you're down near the front expect some pretty hardcore pits in here....they're not ones for the brittle boned among us.
There's also the Carling stage where some of the most promising new bands are put on show along with the occasional legendary headliner and the newly added Lee Sounds Unsigned stage...
