Manufacturer's product description

The MFCD 1218, Barco's 18" color flat display with a resolution of 1280 x 1024, has been designed for general medical viewing. Its high brightness and excellent viewing angle provide optimum viewing comfort. A special kit for wall- or ceiling mounting is included (VESA 75 mm STD). User controls are available through On-Screen Display. Both analog and digital (DVI connector) imaging boards drive the MFCD 1218. The MFCD 1218 comes standard with the DICOM Optimizer software, which optimizes the LCD panel for DICOM-conform viewing. As a result, the MFCD flat panel displays are perceptually linearized, i.e. they give the same perception of an image, independent of the characteristics of the display system used.
