Advantages Good Picture quality, nice size and price! Disadvantages The Sound is RUBBISH!
...I have had this Television for a while now, and I honestly can't remember how much I paid for it, however I would hazard a guess at around the £250 mark. I bought it to replace another Toshiba televion I had which was square and since I got Sky and DVD's etc. I wanted the widescreen.
This television lasted a week in the living room, before the square one was put back in, and the 28W27B was plopped into the bedroom. The picture quality on this TV is better than the old one without a doubt, however the sound is absolutley rubbish. There is absolutley no bass from it (which I like, as I tend to watch MTV Dance an awful lot) and when you turn the bass up in the menu, it goes totally distored and really you just dont want to listen to it. Advantages Range of viewing screen sizes, Fantastic picture quality, price Disadvantages none
...I have just bought the Toshiba 28W33B 28in widescreen television and am so amazed at how brillant it is, We didn't pay a fortune for it either, (£279) which makes the very high standard of it even harder to believe.
The manual is quite easy to understand bit to much explanation on some things but overall was easy for me to understand
Fantastic picture quality one of the best i have seen in a while, shows programs and films in perfect quality,
When first switched on you may have to adjust the brightness and colour settings to your own comfortable viewing standard.
Menu selections (colour, screen adjustments etc) that come up on the television screen using the remote are easy to understand. Just remember to click on store after altering things!
Menu screen consists of picture, sound and feature,
Feature includes sleep...

Advantages Absolutely superb midrange frequencies and very smooth treble. Neutral and yet very atmospheric. Beats many speakers at twice its price. Disadvantages Slight problems with three-dimensional reproduction and upper bass overemphasis. Power-hungry and thus critical with some amplifiers.
...It may happen at parties that you open a door to a side room and wish you hadn't done so, as you may just have invaded the privacy of a couple in action. Yet when my secret love, called CDM 2, engages in the art of lovemaking, I have no scruples to enter the room, take a look, stay and listen to the passionate sounds.
CDM 2, described as a bookshelf loudspeaker by some unromantic individuals, is a noble British lady from the Bowers & Wilkens dynasty (B&W). Her preferred lover is Rotel RA-970BX, an honest and strong amplifier from a side-arm of the same family dynasty. Call that incest if you like, but from my point of view they make a perfect couple.
When at lovemaking, the CDM 2 wants to ensure that her RA-970 is properly connected. She is a bit nasty and likes amphibian sex. Thus she uses a "Cobra” of the Monitor Silver Cable...
