My company uses B&H as a vendor for the audio/video needs when our main vendor cannot provide us with a quote on certain equipment that is needed. I've gone to the website and the store located in midtown Manhattan. Very large and impressive selection of items and you can find just about anything that has to do with photography, video and audio.
Customer service is OK at best, the sales rep we have is generally prompt with replies to our questions and requests but sometimes it can be a day before we hear back from him. The accounting department can be difficult to work with at times and they are quick to hound you for payment but are a pain when you try to resolve payment issues. Not sure how the customer service is over the website.
Also due to religious observances, their store schedules are not the same as most other businesses, closing early on Friday and reopening again on the following Sunday. Can be detrimental if something is needed ASAP on a Friday.
