B&H online is a somewhat overwhelming world of thousands of products and options and reviews, oh my. While they have everything your photographic heart could desire, I find this site to be best for research purposes only. I would never make a big purchase from the site. Oftentimes, what seems like a great deal on the website (an "inexpensive" digital SLR camera + lens "kit", for example) is really not a great deal at all, but a sneaky way of getting you to buy a pricey camera body with a cheap lens. Be wary of such deals.If you live in NYC, I recommend visiting the actual B&H store. It can also be hectic, but at least you will have access to knowledgeable salespeople. If you don't have access to the holy grail that is B&H, do your research at bhphotovideo.com, and buy at your local camera shop (or vice versa). For important equipment, it just feels better to try before you buy.
