...and apartments. Ayo's is famous for an excellent paella, cooked over an open fire in a giant paella pan, with Ayo wearing shin-pads of cardboard to protect his legs. If you get chance to talk to him you will find that he is a most interesting character. He was one of the original boys who discovered the Caves of Nerja in the late 1950's whilst out bat hunting. These impressive caves which are located nearby at Maro are well worth a visit. There are a couple of Belgian restaurants which serve good food, several English snack bars and restaurants and even a Pizzeria - Rocky II. Again a very interesting man owns this place, his name is Manolo and he has led a very varied life which when the restaurant is quiet he will tell you all about.
