Advantages: great bass output with independent subwoofer Disadvantages: lack of midrange frequencies output, complicated operational
JVC is a well known brand in AV products. And the MX KC68 is another product line from them.
Judging from the design, it's clearly that JVC is rather focusing on cosmetic aspects than the sound quality. the overall design is somewhat-over designed and it looks too complicated. The features is too usual and nothing new on it. In fact it incorporates too many buttons and hard to use at first glance.
How about the sound quality? Well i could say there's ... ...other Hybrid IC amplifer. It sounds fine but lack of midrange frequencies. The treble is well managed, resulting of clear audio output. But the output is not suited well for fast paced music (house or disco and rock). If you like jazz, or slow beat music with soft low frequencies punch then this product will satisfy you with a "black background sound" and stable stereo imaging. Although it has a lack of mid frequencies but the overall sound quality ...

Advantages: iPod Ready Disadvantages: It does not have customized equalizer
...to connect my iPod to JVC MX KC58 Mini system. I only wish a song being played was displayed on the stereos screen. When connected with the stereo, I can skip, play and pause the songs with the remote control, but actually navigating the menu has to be done on the iPod itself.
But, the JVC MX KC58 Mini system does not have customized equalizer. ...

Advantages: Good sound, space saver Disadvantages: might not take abuse or hard use
I came across this system by accident at a local pawn shop. I almost walked past it, but the styling and the color was attractive to the eyes. I stopped. I turned it on and was very surprised. For a low end <<cheap price> system, this little bugger gives great sound... the speakers are very good and the quality of cd play is a surprise for a small system like this. It has a fully functional remote. I like that you can do anything, change cd, stop ... ...is a small system, will fit most bookcases and would be a great addition to a dorm room or a bathrom , where minimal space is alotted. I like the clear blue window on the front, it allows visibilty to see what cd is in there and to varify it is running. Not a high end sytem , nor for professional use, but i would reccomend this for home and teen rooms and college dorm use. A 2 thumbs up ! ...

Advantages: Can plug in your Computer or iPod with inexpensive cables. Disadvantages: In larger rooms, the stereo may not be able to fill the room with sound.

I'm reviewing the Panasonic SC PMO7 Micro stereo system.
I bought this stereo several years ago when I was in college. The primary reason for the purchase was to hook my computer up to a stereo so that I can enjoy my music on a nicer set of speakers. First the size and form of the stereo makes it ideal to be placed on a bookshelf. It is lightweight and the speakers can be away from the base.
As for the audio, I find it to be excellent. ... ...home theatre system.
The Panasonic SC PMO7 stereo includes a cassette player, CD player, radio and an auxillary input. I find that I only use the CD player as well as the auxillary input. The reason for this is that I don't really have any tapes and when I really only listen to the radio in the car. The aux input is how I hook my computer to it, it can be done simply and cheaply with a set of cables from radioshack. As for the reliability. I've ...
