The 172 PBM sealed enclosure subwoofer creates an impressively solid bass foundation for your music and movie special effects. It employs the same 12" long throw driver used in highly reviewed System 270 subwoofer with a built-in 150 watt amplifier. This powerful amplifier is a unique Class G discrete design, with dual power supplies for efficient high current, high level drive. A special Dual Diversity Crossover with a combination of variable 12 dB and fixed 24 dB/octave filters, ensures smooth integration with the satellites and eliminates any possibility of audibly localizing the woofer. High and low level inputs make it easy to connect the 172 PBM to virtually any home theater electronics.
