Asus Eee PC 2G Surf

Advantages: Little size, high performance

I need a small, portable and high performance laptop that I could carry around with me without feeling like I was toting around a small baby. At $295 and featuring Linux Operating System, you cannot go wrong. It works right out of the box and is pre loaded with productivity software (Open Office), media explorers / players (Picture organizer, movie player, music library organizer and player), Learning software and games. ...don't expect this little jewel to fulfill all your needs. It does not have an optical drive and the built in SSD is only 2 GB. The operating system and applications take 1.7 GB. It is great as a second, highly mobile computer. But you have options for storage, such as USB drives and SD cards. This is actually great for us students, we can now buy non expensive wi-fi capable note book pc, 7" bright with good contrast display, pretty portable isnt it? with built in Linux OS and 2000MB Flash Drive, now with 3 more colors to choose from; pink, blue and green, Apple like clean design with no removable access panels.
